INTRODUCTION

While working with Gumi & Company, I designed an internal web app that streamlined how the team managed projects, measured performance, and supported learning and development (L&D). The tool combined project management with performance tracking, enabling both staff and supervisors to see exactly how daily work contributed to larger objectives.

The  Challenge

The company needed a single platform to manage projects, track progress, and evaluate performance without juggling multiple tools. Tasks needed to be clearly linked to sprints, projects, and OKRs, with supervisors able to view progress at different intervals and generate reports. The challenge was building a system that was powerful enough for leadership oversight, yet intuitive for everyday team use.

Deliverables

Project & Sprint Management
Designed workflows for creating projects, breaking them into sprints, and assigning tasks within each sprint to specific team members.

Task Tracking & Visibility
Built task dashboards where staff can view their assignments, track sprint progress, and see the status of all ongoing projects.

OKR Integration
Developed functionality for supervisors to set OKRs for individual staff, link them directly to tasks, and calculate progress automatically toward OKR, sprint, and project completion.

L&D Features
Integrated learning and development modules so supervisors could assign skill-building tasks alongside project work, keeping professional growth aligned with company goals.

Performance Reporting
Created supervisor views to track progress quarterly, annually, or by custom date ranges, with the ability to generate full project performance reports.

RESULTS

The tool unified project tracking, OKR management, and performance reviews into one platform, reducing the need for multiple disconnected systems. This not only improved visibility for leadership but also gave every staff member a clear view of how their work connected to larger objectives.
